First Wacom sketch

bird poo2

The work done on the previous post are done on the Wacom, but this was my first Wacom sketch. I am finally getting comfortable with the Wacom pen. It did take some time. I love the Wacom but I have to admit, drawing with pen or pencil on paper still rules! This sketch started out as doodling around a photo of a friend, and I ended sketching out my friend too as I felt it would complete it. And no, I din't imagine the big hair and moustache on the female face, the photo was taken when my friend was dressed that way and I must say I love the quirky look! :D

A big fat thankyou to my uncle who gifted me the Wacom. I'm totally in love with it!

And something's done!

Here's what I managed to submit by Monday morning. Alot of work is yet to be done on this magazine campaign itself and I have also got more medias to be completed. Now I am awaiting the constructive criticism to be given by the professors. Would love some feedback from you all too. :) The ads are at the comprehensive stage, alot has yet to be done, work in progress!

These 3 ads are part of a magazine campaign. With the realistic rendering of the human figure posing infront of a graffiti on a street wall I wanted to give the youthful street style feel to the ad campaign.

P.S.  A big thankyou to the friends who posed for my reference photographs and did whatever I told them to do LOL! :D

Mission Submission!!

Ever had a huge submission in the next few days and had so much to do and so little time?  Us design students go through this quite often and the stress it creates! Oh well, I guess I work well under stress, hence the lack of work done when I had the time. So I decided to create a post on this to keep me motivated to keep working till I reach my target in a short amount of time. My target happens to be the beginning of the next week, and i've got a whole  Ad campaign to complete!

I'm doing a mock campaign for Converse--concentrating on the different styles and prints.

This photo found on google and another few were my inspiration for the theme of the campaign.

BRICKS

I decided to give the campaign a street art look, here's a sneak peek of a tiny part of and Ad, theres still a ton of work to do. So keep posted to see if I reach my goal on time LOL! :D Hopefully I will!

Bagged TWO humongous trophies.. woohoo!

66 (1)

So i bagged 2 humongous trophies for a Fado singing competition held recently. One for winning 1st place in the senior category and the other for topping the overall competition! Yay ME!! Love the feeling of owning such trophies, a first for me, till now. And whats even better is receiving them from the hands of the Ambassador of Portugal at the Beautiful concert of the Fadista Cuca Rosetta. My photo was then published on three newspapers the following days, The Navhind Times, O Heraldo and the Times of India.

I wore my favourite chevron print dress with Coral Pumps. It was a spell binding evening!
